Most of them decided to convert and stay.
The correct word is "coerced" not "forced", and unfortunately "forced" is frequently replaced with "foist" by speakers who want to soft-peddle their criticism.
Using "foist", BTW, means you consider Christianity an illegitimate religion ~ maybe some kind of mumbojumbo magic or whatever ~ so don't use "foist" (not ever), and replace that "force" with "coerce" ~
Remember, the original point of the Inquisition was to assure the correctness of the beliefs and behavior of the newly converted Jews, Moslems and anybody else who got in the way of the Hispanics.
Amazingly, when you look at the religious affiliation of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, you find the Jewish cohort leading the way to admit even more Hispanics to this country, particularly from Mexico which has actually burned Jews at the stake since the founding of the United states.
Unless that little problem is dealt with (the apparant infatuation with the Hispanics) I really don't think it's time to suggest the rest of us have been sinning when we go out and "force" Jews to convert (which I don't believe has ever been done in this country).
Might come up with the name of someone "forced" to convert in the USA ~ I did some serious searches and couldn't find a single person.
Your post drifted into some hostile and irrelevant rhetoric about Hispanics and the word “foist”? that had nothing to do with what I wrote. The Inquisition wasn’t the only time in history that Jews were threatened by Christians, by the way. But again, my comments were in regard to what Ann Coulter said, and yours sounded like some pent up hostility against Jews.
