Slash-and-burn columnist Ann Coulter shocked a cable TV talk-show audience Monday when she declared that Jews need to be "perfected" by becoming Christians, and that America would be better off if everyone were Christian.
Coulter made the remarkable statements during an often heated appearance to promote her new book on advertising guru Danny Deutsch's CNBC show "The Big Idea."
In response to a question from Deutsch asking Coulter if "it would be better if we were all Christian," the controversial columnist responded: "Yes."
"We should all be Christian?" Deutsch repeated.
"Yes," Coulter responded, asking Deutsch, who is Jewish, if he would like to "come to church with me."
Deutsch, pressing Coulter further, asked, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians?" She responded: "Yeah."
Coulter deflected Deutsch's assertion that her comments were anti-Semitic, matter-of-factly telling the show's obviously upset host, "That is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews."

You think His beliefs are 'inferior'?
Jewish people do not consider Jesus to be king of anything. He was the son of Mary and Joseph. His beliefs were those of a good man trying to help mankind.
Actually, they separate the wheat from the chaff. She's a national treasure.
Or is it a requirement to becoming a citizen of Israel? Clue me in, is language understanding a requirement in either?
You stripped away my defense of Ann?
It is not about politics and votes, it is about offending the dignity of the whole Jewish people and that is what Ann did.
No. Jews have not proselytized because being the chosen people, they know not everyone is invited.
“Jewish people do not consider Jesus to be king of anything. He was the son of Mary and Joseph. His beliefs were those of a good man trying to help mankind.”
I’m curious (seriously). Do Jewish people believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead? Do they believe it really took place historically?
Yes FRiend, I am aware of this daily tragedy.
I think you should study up on this. Try www.bible.org. Look up the occurrences of the word "perfected". Then get back to us and 'splain Anne's theology and how it doesn't conform to your own and is all wrong, and offensive, and she should burn at the stake if not in Hell, and all the other nonsense people spew when they get into a rip-snorting debate over what a word means when it's used a dozen times in scripture.
Now, a question for you ~ are you angry because a woman spoke up in public about a religious matter?
Whatever your beliefs, I was appreciating your prayers this afternoon. Whatever you-all believe, I welcome all your prayers. I will know the final results next week (with G-D's help!)
It made me realize how precious life is, the time I can spend with my family, and how much I love all of you.
I will get the final results next week. Please pray.

You got me!
I'm a member a KOS, longstanding.
A troll, anyone here could tell you that!
StructuredChaos, you are a perceptive one.
Been fun talking to you.
You have drawn an unjustified conclusion from your google search. Talmudic or Rabbinic Judaism is the term used in contrast to the Judaism that practiced Temple centered worship. Temple worship came to an end when the Romans burnt down the Temple at Jerusalem in the year 78.
There is no pejorative.
Let me just clarify few points if I may. I have read the New Testament a good numbers of times, and I would like to tell you that after I finished my undergraduate degree from college I wanted to be a seminary and may be a monk after that, however conditions changed and I am into the material world now and away from the grace of Christ. I have to admit that I am not a good Christian, and I know that my sins are worse than most people because I know very well that I should not be doing the transgressions that I commit on a daily basis.
Having said that and back to Anne Coulter statement, it is very wrong what she said. No matter how strong are your Christian believes you do not go on TV and in a political interview tell a group of people, in this case the Jews, that they will be perfected if they convert to Christianity. It is deeply offensive for the Jews and I simply cannot accept it myself. Anne Coulter went way over the top here and that is my humble opinion.
I am an imperfect Jew who has no intention of accepting Jesus as my savior. Ann is entitled to her religious beliefs, which I happen not to share. I still love her for her politics, though her remark is sure to divide fans. It’s liberal Jews like Danny Douche that offend me.
Perfect. ;)
