Hillary Clinton - still socialist after all these years
Sacramento Bee ^ | October 5, 2007 | DEROY MURDOCK

...Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential juggernaut looks increasingly unstoppable. This may have emboldened the New York Democrat to stop masquerading as a moderate and instead flaunt her full-throated, left-wing radicalism...the ever-calculating Clinton now may feel free to peddle higher-octane liberalism...

"I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time...Clinton's proposal would cost taxpayers some $20 billion each year... the Swedish-style idea lacks affluence testing... Clinton's SCHIP reform also would air-raid cash on Americans as if from B-52s. While senators extended the State Children's Health Insurance Program to families of four earning thrice the poverty line ($61,950), she advocated eligibility at quadruple that threshold -- a scandalous $82,600.

It now transpires that an SCHIP concept was among Clinton's fallbacks if "HillaryCare" crashed, which it stunningly did. Tuesday's Politico.com revealed a 1993 memo in which White House staffers outlined "Kids First."

"This proposal phases in universal coverage," the draft states. "Under this approach, health-care reform is phased in by population, beginning with children."...

Indeed, the National Taxpayers Union reports that during the 109th Congress, Clinton proposed $170.8 billion in net expenditure hikes. She is the Senate's seventh-biggest spender, far behind outlay champ Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., at $813.7 billion...

The ever-cautious Clinton occasionally exposes her true ideological core. "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good," she told San Franciscans in June 2004. As first lady, she said: "We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society."

Clinton is a hardened socialist, despite the mainstream media's efforts to portray her as a "centrist" merely because she is not as over-a-cliff-left as Michael Moore or MoveOn.org's patron, George Soros....

KEYWORDS: incremental; socializedmedicine
This is how Clinton and her allies plan to impose socialized medicine on our country, step by step, with much crying and posing about "the children." My question is, when we have destroyed the health system we have, were are we and the rest of the world going to go to get treated when we need it, like the Canadians come to our country now?

"...when we have destroyed the health system we have, were are we and the rest of the world going to go to get treated when we need it,..."

You must understand, Angela, that Hillary Clinton and her kind don't give one damn about you and your health care. It is all about "control."

It’s amazing isn’t it? “Free” health care for all! $1,000 401K tax credit! $5,000 birth money!

And yet NEVER will you EVER hear a MSM reporter ask her how she intends to pay for it all.

"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society.”

"It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, for the few, and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."

"We can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."

"We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground."

"I certainly think the free market has failed."

"I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector [oil] in the entire economy, that they are being watched."

"What I want to do is take those profits and apply them to alternative energy."

Karl Marx or Frederick Engels said none of these things; Hillary Clinton said them all.

Well, it looks like the Canadians are going to throw out socialized medicine - so maybe we could reverse the practice and we could go to Canada for treatment...

Pay for it all. She obviously believes that being held upside down and shaken until all of our money falls into her hands would be good for our health. What bugs me about this is that has had it in mind all along and won't give up until we surrender: From the early 90s: "Under this approach, health-care reform is phased in by population, beginning with children."...

Eternal vigilance.

Read a link a couple of days of days ago that mentioned the fact that virtually no science prof believed in Marxism, whilst many of the (insert spectrum of worthless lib arts courses here) professors do. This fits Hillary. She’s never been exposed to anything complex, nor has she ever had a real job. Perfect background for any loon that thinks socialism/Marxism has any chance of competing with capitalism. ‘Tis amazing how one’s modus operandi changes when confronted by the rules of physics and math. Somehow, deconstruction doesn’t cut it. (That junk can’t cut anything.)

"Being bribed with our own money."

That's the best description I've ever heard.

“...looks like the Candians are going to throw out socialized medicine...”

Let’s all pray that the American people “throw out” the Marxist Clintoons!!! IMO, if we do not, we’re doomed and, the USA as we knew it, will be no more.

If Hillary ever found true love, she would drop politics like a hot potato.

You're kidding, right? This is nothing more than thinly disguised cover fire for Roodee Girly-Annie. You think Hill is bad, at least she won't actually be performing abortions in the Oval Office like Rooty. Until this week I didn't know this, but I was informed here that he is actually an abortionist.

Therein lies the problem, she found her love, politics and government.
