FARGO, North Dakota, Oct. 10 /Christian Newswire/ -- Operation Rescue's Truth Truck paid a visit last week to North Dakota's only abortion clinic, the Red River Women's Clinic in Fargo. The visit reportedly made abortion the talk of the town.

Truth Truck driver Mark Gietzen, Director of the Kansas Coalition For Life, joined pro-lifers outside the clinic during their 40 Days For Life prayer vigil. Gietzen was in North Dakota visiting family and spent as much time as he could at the abortion clinic supporting the local prayer effort.

"It was an eventful weekend, in a very positive way," said Gietzen. "I gave away almost ALL of the literature that I had to strangers who came to talk about the Truth Truck. The general public was shocked by the truck, most having never seen anything like it before. Some people complimented us for having it there, and quite a number of others came over to challenge our right to display the photos on the Truth Truck."

Gietzen said that the local pro-lifers in Fargo are a dedicated group and were very excited about having the Truth Truck in their community. They are keeping their prayer vigil round-the-clock until November 4. The day after the Truth Truck left, the pastor of the Fargo Cathedral led a procession to the abortion clinic for prayers, in honor of Respect Life Sunday, complete with server-boys in full dress, cross, candles, and a large percentage of the congregation.

Operation Rescue looks forward to returning to Fargo to lend support to the effort to close this abortion mill and make North Dakota abortion free.

Operation Rescue is one of the leading pro-life Christian activist organizations in the nation. Operation Rescue recently made headlines when it bought and closed an abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas and has become the voice of the pro-life activist movement in America. Its activities are on the cutting edge of the abortion issue, taking direct action to restore legal personhood to the pre-born and stop abortion in obedience to biblical mandates.

If ONE life can be saved, the pictures are worth it. Healing for the women will only come by Jesus, not by eliminating these horrible pictures. The unborn babies are the most important ones in this. Jesus has told us to defend the defenseless. I’ve counseled women with unwanted pregnancies and their ignorance as to what was happening to them was uncomprehensible. They actually believed that they were not carrying life. They have bought the deception and the lies told to them by Planned Parenthood and others. I would show pictures of babies in the womb to these girls and they choose at that very moment not to abort. This enormous battle we are fighting needs powerful weapons. We all need healing because of past sins, but the innocent babies deserve a chance at life first and foremost.

When a woman or teenage girl is in the middle of the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy, the pictures will not be a deterant.

Prove it.

I find the images incredibly repuslive and am somewhat concerned that viewing them enough might desensitize me. But this isn't about my reaction to them or other activists reaction to them.

Like I said, if waving celery sticks at them *worked*....

There was a time in this country that pictures like this would rouse a citizenry into righteous indignation.

Now we are worried about their feelings getting hurt.

You are very merciful and that is a wonderful trait—do not lose it.

Certain things in life have hardened me a bit. Just as there was a time when slavery had to be confronted, there is a time when abortion must be confronted.

We have had thirty five years of not trying to step on toes while 50 million babies died and about 35 million women have been scarred for life.

They have what voice? Only ours.

I’ll take the help from wherever it comes.

But just like the German villagers were not allowed to turn aside and not see the result of their complicity in the Nazi death camps they lived next to in WW2, so we can no longer allow the complacency of not making people aware of what abortion is.

Abortion has become the sacred subject that dare not be talked about or depicted. Even in Catholic and Protestant churches, the subject is “controversial”.

Jesus said to the Laodiceans in Revelation that He would rather they be warm or hot. But because they were neither, He would spew them out of His mouth.

You may not agree with the tactic, but let those who wish to bear the heat, bear it, as in the case of the trucks and drivers.

With all of our efforts, perhaps this inhumane slaughter of innocents can be ended.

RNCLife] To Friends of RNC/Life -

The Republican and the Democrat

A woman in a hot air balloon realizes she is lost. She lowers her altitude and spots a man fishing from a boat below.

She shouts to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”

The man consults his portable GPS and replies, “You’re in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

She rolls her eyes and says, “You must be a Republican!”

“I am,” replies the man. “How did you know?”

“Well,” answers the balloonist, “everything you tell me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’re not much help to me.”

The man smiles and responds, “You must be a Democrat.”

“I am,” replies the balloonist. “How did you know?”

“Well,” says the man, “You don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and now you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but, somehow, now it’s my fault.”
