Paul is spot on with the minutae, but misses the #1 point of the Federal Government - to provide for the Common Defense. And in 2007 that means against Muslimist terrorism. A President who unilaterally dismisses use of the military to fight this enemy is not a serious candidate.

We could use about 230 Ron Pauls in the House and 51 in the Senate, but the White House isn't the place for him.

That's probably the most insightful comment ever posted on a Ron Paul thread: I share your opinion 100%.

It's a damned shame that RP has whored out his campaign to hard-left surrender monkeys that wouldn't touch the rest of his libertarian ideas with a 10-foot pole. The only bright side is that at least those ideas are getting some exposure to non-political types: I just hope that all the Iraq moonbattery doesn't completely drown them out.
