I like Thompson, but he needs to get a suit jacket that fits.
I didn't see the debate. Did Thompson, or any of the candidates, go after Matthews on the air? They would have scored points with a lot of conservatives if they had.
I'd like to see someone put that !&#@ Matthews in his place.
Sorry Bud- as you know I am a Fred supporter- he did about a B- because his opening was poor- closed well but nothing earth shattering. He will do better next time.

Thompson’s jacket was too big. He looked really tired too. I wonder if he’s up to all this physically. I like what he believes but he needs to work on his appearance.
Brownback is a bit shaky on immigration. He’s the consummate free-trader.
I don’t have a horse in the race yet, I’m still deciding, but face it FR is not the place to get a non-biased poll based on one’s performance at a debate. Those numbers are based on folks own pre-determined loyalties to their particular candidate, IMHO. They don’t like Huckabee because of his immigration stand, and I don’t know why Brownback’s numbers are low. Ron Paul is a joke, and I’m not sure who’s voting for him. My point, the poll on FR means about the same as any other internet poll...absolutely nothing at this point in the race.

I bet the FR is probably more accurate than the ones always ballyhooed on TV and post-debates. At least the FR measures accurately how posters on here feel
Probably most important is that the pro-illegal candidates do not fare well on here. Good to see also that Duncan Hunter gets much support here...felt this was his best debate. Anyone who refers to China as “Communist China” gets my support.
Shaky on immigration may be kind in describing Brownback. He probably wants Kansas to become part of the United Mexican States.
Except for Hunter, the rest of the candidates seem to be extremists on free trade. Funny that Hunter can give specifics on how FT is failing....but supporters of FT cant give specifics on how it is working...just the usual “theory recitations” without specifics...of course this is the problem with many FT supporters
BTW...when I use “FT” I mean it as “Free Trade” not Fred Thompson. Next time I will use GFT for free trade (Globalist Free Trade)
