Hannah Storm is a ladder-climber and knows who signs her paychecks.

I remember Hannah Storm doing radio here in Houston, maybe that's how she got her TV name, Traffic & Weather Girl.

It's been a while, can't say for sure how she got her name, but she did start in Houston radio.

She took her professional surname during her stint as a disc jockey for a hard rock radio station in Houston, Texas in the mid-1980s. At the time, the station was known as 97 Rock/KSRR (for "Kick Ass Rock and Roll").

I saw him last night re James Dobson. IMO he was effectively telling the Christian block to KMA.

Not a good way to start.

And many thanks to Arianna Huffington for the astuteness with which she, you know, points out Thompson’s, you know, stumbles.

Finally, Huffington quoted a recent column by George Will:

Not that anybody on this site needs more proof that George Will is not a conservative, but here is so more proof.

Hannah Storm was known for her time on the NBA pre-game and halftime shows on Sunday afternoons too (On NBC.)

Interesting that she’s moved away from sports (she did other events and the Olympics, also.)

Another Hannah factoid:

Hannah is the daughter of sports executive Mike Storen, who was a commissioner of the old American Basketball Association, and also president of the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA.

No, he was effectively telling Dobson to kiss his ass, and it was well deserved. Dobson has been a weasel of the lowest order in recent weeks. If he has a problem with Thompson he should come out and say it and tell us why instead of engaging in intrigues with email-leaking and mealy-mouthed non-statements.

He does and he did, plainly too. He considers Thompson's preference for leaving marriage up to the states to be a non-solution that would effectively destroy marriage as an institution. Hence, he cannot support Thompson.

If you call that being a weasel, I suggest you are projecting.

I’m just happy they didn’t use the word “gravitas”.

Not a good way to start....true.
....but frankly, Dobson is wanting to be "the Kingmaker"....FDT, Is not Dobson's Puppet....therefore, I don't blame him (FDT) telling Dobson to take a hike.

$hrillary (Soro's Puppet) would've pounded FDT on that.

What’s “The Early Show”?

More to the point, why should we care what CBS thinks about anything?

Marraige is not now, and never has been, a Federal issue. Only the IRS cares about your marital status.

Marraige is not now, and never has been, a Federal issue.

When a gay couple can get married in New York, it becomes a Federal issue when they move to a state that does not recognize gay marriage. Further, there are bunches of Federal statutes, particularly tax law, that deal specifically with marital status.

To pretend that "marriage is only a state matter" is a dodge. It becomes a Federal issue under the "full faith and credit clause" when gay couples get married in a state in which it is legal and expect some other state to recognize that status, including children.

It is thus a cowardly dodge on the part of Mr. Thompson, and not terribly well thought out at that.

I don’t think Fred was that rough, but what would one say if they understood that Mr.Dobson said he wasn’t a Christian? I think Fred’s saying that he “doesn’t dance to anyone’s tune” was refreshing. In other words, he isn’t going to pander to special groups. You take him as he is on the issues, or you don’t.

This whole Fred Thompson thing looks like a hustle to me. He plays it really soft and by doing so he disarms his enemies and the other candidates. I worked for a man like that once. You would swear he was the biggest Gomer in 10 counties, but what you didn’t know was that it was all an act. He was taking everything in and his dumb act made people not fear him and talk to him, almost feeling sorry for him. Then, when you least expected it, out he came, both guns blazing, and you were caught with your guard down.

Thompson know full well how long it is until election day and how long it will be before the party has to name its man.

I could be wrong, but I sure wouldn’t bet against this guy!
