Excuse, but how does a district court now have jurisdiction over Gitmo?

Personally, I’d tell her to pound sand, but Bush never will.

I would have thought the Jurisdictional issue would have been fought, prior to the case being heard, but no one from the Government objected?

The whole GITMO issue boils down to multi-million dollar towel-heads having deep pockets, and their beholdin' Liberals wanting their Trial Lawyers lobby to have the opportunity to empty them (the deep pockets), through representation of terrorists.

Follow the money, as always.

Critics of American “Middle East” policies always want it both ways.

First they tell us we have no business telling people in the Middle East what kind of governments they should have, how those governments are run and no business disregarding the values their cultures insist on.

But, if we dare return any terrorist to the Middle East country of which they are a citizen, we are violating that country’s citizen of his or her rights to our form of government, to how our government works and their right to our cultural sentiments - to protect them from their own society, a society we are not supposed to offend by dictating our way of life to it.

If its an argument from the left, you can always expect hypocrisy.

Give the detainee a sword, knife and icepick and transfer him to the judge’s house. I’m sure they’ll enjoy long talks over tea and krumpets.

So the Left will have it both ways now, right? The poor widdle terrorists are being tortured at Guantanamo and should be released, but if we want to send them back to their country of origin we can’t because they’ll be tortured there? I guess the liberals won’t be happy until we give each terrorist a condo in Miami and an ATM card with $5G in the kitty.
