Doh! He didn’t mean it literally. It was a sarcastic reference to how everything is reported in the MSM as being rotten when there’s an R to blame, but just hunky dory when a D is in power, despite the reality being pretty much unchanged, and whatever change there might be, being in the direction opposite to how they’re reporting it.

I’ll bet he’s every bit as correct on the issues as every one of those other Oscar-winning liberal Hollywierd misfits!

UK Court Calls Gore Film “Pure Rubbish”

Ignoring the Academy Award won by the film, as well as rumors that former U.S. vice-president Al Gore is in line for a Nobel Peace Prize, a United Kingdom High Court judge said Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” was “assembled by a cretin of minimal understanding and even less sense.” The movie has been distributed to more than 3500 schools for children aged 11 to 14 as part of their “Climate Change” curriculum.

The case reached the court when truck driver and father of two, Stewart Dimmock brought action to ban the film from UK schools. The court’s ruling substantially agreed with Dimmock’s contention that the film is “unfit for schools” because it contains scientific inaccuracies, “sentimental mush” and is politically biased.

Gore called the ruling “deplorable” and promised that “this judge and his ilk will pay a heavy price for their efforts to thwart me when I am named global climate czar next year.”

Blatant Lie number 12:

Gore claimed repeatedly the TWO BILLION people participated in “Live Earth”.

Statistics from Nielsen and other media monitoring organizations, and internet monitoring data shows that less than 40 million participated worldwide.

That’s TWO PERCENT of his claimed total !!

In otherwords, his claims are inflated by a factor of FIFTY!!

"If a Dem wins in 2008, the threat will instantly disappear."

That is possibly the most far-fetched, illogical, nonsensical statement I've heard around here in quite a while.

And that covers a LOT of silly statements.

And that covers a LOT of silly statements

.......which implies, of course, that YOU have never made any silly statements nor are capable of making any....

give the spok a break, he just may be right....

"UK Court Calls Gore Film 'Pure Rubbish'"

Mr. Semmens, do you suppose your post could be called misleading?

Many people have yet to realize that GW is BS, and may be looking for their own answers.

Your post, standing alone, does them a disservice by exaggerating the Court's slapdown of Gore.

It is only when the link is followed that our seeker of truth discovers your post is extracted from a satirical piece written by you.

Perhaps a "Satire" label on such pieces would be appropriate in the future, helping to insure that FR is the source of all that is true, which all FReepers know to be "The Incontrovertible Truth."

In order for Spok to be right, a Dem in the WH would have to reverse all the GW spending & grants now flowing to Universities; stop ethanol subsidies; refute OwlGore; refute Kyoto; thumb nose at EU; label themselves as liars; acknowledge the right was right; scrap all their Prius's and let Santa put a HEMI in his sleigh.

C'mon - ain't none of that gonna happen.

No, the MSM will just take its finger off the panic button. ‘Global warming’ as presented in ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ is a perception that propels the agenda; nothing more, nothing less.

give the spok a break, he just may be right....

Only if it's viewed as "unresolvable". If they can find a way to look like "just one more thing" will allow resolution, it'll be a much bigger issue than even today.

“The threat to mankind posed by global warming is directly related to the party affiliation of the occupant of the White House. If a Dem wins in 2008, the threat will instantly disappear.”

That’s it in a nutshell!

Like I say....we will know for sure in a year and a month.

If the 'rats win, the do-something-right-now-or-we-are-all-gonna-die heat will be off....

but if the R's win, the gw war will escalate from a mere storm to a force 5 hurricane.

It will be fun to watch.

In the mean time, I am going to buy a lot down around Corsicana in anticipation of rising sea levels. Beachfront property is a good value don't you know....grin.
