Even if we were to accept the Democrat-provided figures, should a family making $50K be on public assistance? That is pretty good money. A family making that much should be able to care for themselves, including health insurance.
That’s about what I make before taxes and I provide health insurance on my own for my family of 5. This seems clearly a case of roll the dice decision by the Frost parents. If no one needs it we “the Frosts” win. If we do we can always fall back on the public teat.
For my family a high deductable (2500x3) policy cost me 3 grand a year. i have the deductable money in the bank through frugal spending habits. Although I still have enough toys to keep the family and myself entertained throughout the year.
Depending on where you live, $50k might not be that much. Still, if these people have all the assets that have been listed here in this thread, it’s hard to have any sympathy for their so called plight. And there children would have never been denied medical care under any circumstances I can think of.
