Arpaio says there's no excuse and it's a "cop-out
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says if he can enforce the state's immigration law, other law enforcement agencies should be able to as well. Arpaio says his office enforces all the laws, and his office is doing it with a smaller staff compared to some police agencies. The Sheriff says he doesn't go around complaining he doesn't have enough resources. He says his office manages resources properly.
Also, Arpaio says the excuse of not going after misdemeanors doesn't work. He says 62% of the people in his jails are misdemeanors.
He's made it this far (17 years as Maricopa Country Sheriff) without incident, and his hard-line on illegals hasn't ever changed. I'm betting on the Sheriff to survive.
Yes, and he makes them wear pink underwear, feeds them on pennies a day, and makes them sing the Star Spangled Banner (in English) three times a day. None of them ever want to go back.
I wish he was head of the Justice Department. He would straighten up the criminal problem in America!
hey Joe, I got your back,24/7.
“I think this man should be named to Director of Homeland Security and give the power to clean this border mess up.”
I have no idea who you are, but your thought process borders on pure genius.
Sheriff Joe Rocks! His methods should be the gold standard for every police and correctional organization in this country from top to bottom.
I think this man should be named to Director of Homeland Security and give the power to clean this border mess up.
I’m sleepy. Whoever came up with the above idea first is a genius. Night-night.
“The Sheriff says he doesn’t go around complaining he doesn’t have enough resources. He says his office manages resources properly.”
Imagine that!

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was named as Honorary Chair for the Romney for President campaign in Arizona. Sheriff Arpaio, better known as “Americas Toughest Sheriff”, has gained a nationwide reputation for his tough stance on crime, illegal immigration and border security in the nation’s fourth largest county.
“I like him,” Arpaio said of Mitt Romney. “He’s a man of principle, of good character. He did a great job in Massachusetts and I feel he’s going to make a great president.”
“I’m sure the governor believes in my philosophy too,” Arpaio said. “He sure would not be asking for my endorsement if he didn’t believe in what I’m doing.”

You know, the guy may be a publicity whore”
