You have no idea how well known and respected Dobson is in the Evangelical community. Let’s face it, national elections are decided by 1 or 2 percent of the vote. Before the Evangelicals became a force in the Republican Party the Republicans were a forty years minority in Congress. Both Bushes would not have been elected if it wasn’t for the Evangelical vote. Can you say President Gore and President Kerry. If you split the coalition by nominating an abortionist then get ready for a another forty years of wondering in the desert of minority status.
