I imagine the Frost’s auto insurance limits were too low to cover all the expenses. I checked the Maryland insurance commissioner’s website and Maryland only requires 20/40 bodily injury and uninsured motorist, and $2500 in personal injury protection. That amount wouldn’t cover severe injuries for very long, and I highly doubt the Frosts sprang for more than the minimum. Irresponsible people are generally irresponsible in many areas of their lives, and any way you cut it, a middle class couple with four children who don’t have at least a high-deductible, catastrophic health policy is irresponsible.
Once again, the responsible, mature members of our society who consistently make intelligent, thoughtful choices get to pay for themselves AND for the irresponsible, immature members of society who consistently make stupid, impetuous choices. And yet somehow, the Dems think they’re the party of “fairness.”
I hope this company offers health insurance. The Frosts’ not having health insurance coverage with four children is totally irresponsible.
