I think Hunter's problem is Hunter. I do like the guy, have seen him in action, and he ain't no dummy. But I think he suffers from what I characterize to my friends as the "John Bolton Effect". Bolton was the right guy for the job, was dead on and took no crap, but you no doubt saw his trials and tribulations with the left and the MSM. Bolton was too correct for the post, therefore he had to go, someway, somehow. It looks that Hunter also is too "correct" the man for the job, so consequently what isn't kept buried out of sight and gets out is going to get picked apart, held up for ridicule, labeled too "extreme" and "controversial" and dismissed. Don't know if anybody else is seeing it this way, but that's how it looks to me.
