I’m more curious to know if this is what he has believed from the get go, or is this some quasi appeasement to those in the Mideast. When I was talking to my friends today, I told them what President Bush said and they were absolutely horrified. And horrified is not an exaggeration.
I really have no idea why Bush would hold Ramadan in the White House: As I have said it is one thing to respect muslims, it is another all toghether to partake in their religious practices (reeks of multiculturalism), and it is strange for a “Professing Christian” to say all worship the “same God”.
You know, all we can react to is what he says - in context, if we are lucky. Sometimes I hear something and I buy into it, only to find out later that I “heard” it from my perspective, not the perspective they were uttering from. Well, hopefully I’ve learned to be more circumspect in both what I say and how I hear.
But to say all religions pray to the same God . . . . that is an incredibly, astoundingly, and amazingly - dare I say it - STUPID thing to say - even if you believe it!!
