President George Bush has repeated his belief all religions, "whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God" an assertion that caused outrage among evangelical leaders when he said it in November 2003.

Don’t try to convince me, try to convince Jesus Christ. He’s Jewish, Resurrected, Ascended, and seated at the right hand of the Father. He is the Word, the firstfruits of all created things.
If you can convince Him he isn’t one with the Father, then perhaps who might prevail. Until then, even if you disagree, we will all still have to submit to His authority whether we like it or not.
In regards to the Gospel, it will be stated and it’s between you and Him to either accept Him or reject Him.
I’d encourage you to consider that Yahweh Saves and maybe, just maybe, God has already come in the flesh and the Son has already ascended. (i.e you’re behind the power curve)
Shalom!
Colosians 2:8 provides some pretty good guidance on this topic.
Col 2:8
(8) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Boy did you set yourself up. Never been a “Christ”ian?
Bush is SO wrong on that. Just as wrong as he is on illegal immigration.
That’s nice.
Why do you think I care what you believe?
You people are working too hard to be offended.
BTW, reread my posts. Nowhere do I accuse Jews of not having fellowship with God. Through faith in Christ, they also are saved believers.
Again, Jesus Christ Himself is Jewish and has no problem in sharing His faith and what he believes with others. In fact His Great Commission mandates that those who are aware of that faith communicate it to others.
What is possibly offensive in describing the gift God has given to all man for them simply to place faith through Him to have a relationship with Him?
The only person who might be offended that I am aware of are those who reject God Himself and what He has provided, either directly, or indirectly by attempting to follow any false doctrine to substitute a counterfeit for what He has provided.
I don't expect the morons on this thread to understand.
He's beside himself???
See post #242. For this reason, some concern arises concerning the President’s statement when it is directed at those who may not have faith in Christ or possibly even an opportunity in the past to read Scripture.
In the Honor Seat.
In the Honor Seat, not on the Throne. The Throne is occupied by its own distinct and separate entity.
“Why do you think I care what you believe?”
Ohhh. Now I get it. You’re just a jerk. That’s why you speak with such assinine condescension to people who try to discuss things with you in a respectful manner. I guess even a wonderful forum like FR has to have its share.
Ummm... try again. He said ALL religions. And even if the statement has been said - repeating it does not make it true, and in fact fulfills Satan's wishes. Satan loves being equated with the One True God.
I am offended by Bush's statement, and if he believes what he said, then he is not deserving of the respect of those of us who DO worship God. I pray that he sees the error of his ways before he places any more stumbling blocks... 1 Corinthians 8:9
Although it doesn’t look like today is your day.
No, and neither do I care. It’s one thing to respect those practicing a religion other than the truth, and the one you do (such as Bush does with Islam), it’s a completely other statement to make equating all religions as praying to the “same god”!~
Thank you for the expanded lesson on the Deity of Jesus Christ. Correct in every point. Jesus Christ is worthy of our ceaseless worship, as our Creator, Sustainer, Saviour from Sin, Head of the Church, and Coming King.
“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; (12) Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (13) And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. (14) And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.” (Revelation 5:11-14)
“The only person who might be offended that I am aware of are those who reject God Himself and what He has provided, either directly, or indirectly by attempting to follow any false doctrine to substitute a counterfeit for what He has provided.”
So, basically Jews follow a false counterfeit doctrine. Now we’re getting somewhere.
Looking at your tagline about violence, no doubt you would say “in the name of love”, I believe I have identified the problem. Cvengr must mean something about avenging Christ and you’re just the one to do it.
Well, sir, the Egyptians didn’t do it, the Persians didn’t do it, the Greeks didn’t do it, the Romans didn’t do it, the Crusaders didn’t do it, the Spanish Inquisition didn’t do it, the Nazis didn’t do it, the Arabs didn’t do it. So one POS like you ain’t gonna stop Jews from being Jews: not with all your talk, not with all your sermons, not with the auto-da-fe, not with with gas chambers, not with pogroms and not with suicide bombers.
Hashem (that would be G-d according to the eternal Jewish people) promised that he would preserve us forever and he has kept that promise. We have kept our faith through all YOUR persecutions and all who came before you. I believe, as a serious conservative thinker, that a respectful tolerance of our different beliefs is necessary and healthful to a great American society. You apparently are too preoccupied with your blood lust for Jesus to have a decent respect for anyone who does not toe the line.
Do not bother with a reply. You disgust me.
Excuse me; I am not Jewish, though I do know that Christian use your Old Testament Scripture.
Obviously you believe in God the Father..Correct?
Do you believe in God’s “Holy Spirit” as well?
I also know that while (if you would compare, reason, friendly with me, Isaiah, Jeremiah, I would say it clearly leads to Christ, and while I wish you to believe in Him, I can not force you..).
I know you do not belive in Jesus Christ as your Savior,
If you read Isaiah, and other Profectic books, they clearly talk about a “man of sorrow”-a future savior do they not..?
