Fair enough. If you can count them, you can deport them.

Which may be why they are not counted. We can distribute welfare and social service benefits to them, but somehow illegals are "lost in the shadows."

If we can come to a reasonable and somewhat accurate estimate as to how many illegals are in the U.S., how is it that we can't locate them?

So how is the census adjusted? You get two choices, either you can count them, so you can deport them, or you can’t.

In the county where I live the sheriff trained his deputies and three weeks ago put in this policy where they call ICE when they pick up an illegal. It seems, the nightly news doesn’t have anything to talk about anymore, crime has dropped that much. Traffic, what traffic. Schools, now trying to find students, overbuilt.

“You have to remember, this is the U.S. Federal government we’re talking about.”

Yep, and after thinking about it, I’m about certain that the statistical adjustment the Democrats wanted to the 2000 Census totals was to add MORE illegal aliens in heavily Hispanic states because it was assumed many illegals avoided the census out of fear the information would be turned over to immigration, which it isn’t.

Everybody is to be counted if they’re in the US and breathing.

The push has been more towards ethnicity and not citizenship status; Hispanics in contrast to illegal aliens.

The Democrats, open border lobbyists, and most media outlets cry bloody murder any time that there is a request for legally accessible records.

Do LEGAL aliens (citizens of another country here legally) count in the census?? I think not. So people who obey our laws don’t count - while those who disobey our laws do count. Absolutely effinn amazing.

I wonder what would happen if those that are footing the bill (i.e. middle class taxpayers) just one day decided not to pay anymore.

That's what it will have to boil down to. When we've had enough we'll just stop sending in those hefty checks on April 15th.

Lines have been crossed, and it's time we fixed it.

The logic is impeccable: if illegal aliens are allowed amnesty, despite breaking our law (s), then is it acceptable to allow amnesty for 12 to 20 million citizen lawbreakers who refuse to pay income taxes?

It would depend on where they lived. What’s really counted are people found living in any and all more or less permanent residences in the US, not including hotels and motels. If a foreign national is a student or here working temporarily, and living where they would be found by a mailed census form, or a census taker working the neighborhood they’d be counted. - Foreign tourists would not be counted because they would have no legal residence or address to claim. Of course, an attempt is made to count the homeless.

I’ll link the short census form from 2000 again. If you receive a form, or are found by a census taker in a more or less permanent residence, those are the only questions you’d be asked:

Yeah, well, Panama and Brazil aren’t welfare states—we are (or at least we are close enough). Also, I have no desire to see my country turned into a Third World hell hole—even if I end up as one of the “elites”. If you live in a sewer, it still stinks no matter how much you dress it up.

The alcohol was a bit much for me. I have tried a new drug that just now hit the market from DNC Pharmaceuticals.

40 million non payers might do it.

But my guess is that we'll have far more than forty million illegal aliens in the U.S. before we could ever muster forty million non-payers. The point is that the government is far more interested in going after legal citizens than illegal aliens; aliens that we can account for but apparently cannot locate.

The irony here is a little funny: Income from the would-be non-payers, in part, goes to fund the health care and social services for illegal aliens who are also "non-payers," if you will.

"Illegals have more perks and rights than we do. Time to clean house in D C !!!!"

One word: Toomey. Cleaning house means beating the RNC in fundraising and financial support when they insist on supporting a liberal over a conservative, ala, the reference to the 2004 Pennsylvania Senate race.

That is, if we're to get any real ideologically conservative representation in Washington.

I mailed 3 letters to the RNC. Two contained 2 cents, and one had a Bush Peso.
