The company run by one of Hillary Clinton's top campaign officials has been providing public-relations services for Blackwater - the security firm, accused of killing 17 Iraqi civilians, that has come under fire from Congress.
Burson-Marsteller, run by Clinton pollster Mark Penn, has been representing the troubled security firm in the lead-up to congressional testimony this week in which top company officials defended their policies and techniques for providing security in the war zone.
Penn is one of Clinton's longest-serving and most important advisers, perhaps second only to her husband in influence.
He said yesterday that his company was no longer representing Blackwater.
Listed as the "worldwide CEO" of the company, Penn also said he was not personally involved in the account.

Okay, what did Hillary know and when did she know it?
Further complicating matters for Clinton is that Blackwater’s first contract with the federal government actually wasn’t under the Bush administration. It was in 1998, according to company officials, when Clinton’s husband was in the White House.
Yesterday’s revelations of a tie between Blackwater and Clinton became easy fodder for attacking the Democratic front-runner.

It just seperates Hillary from the rest of her fellow Democratic Candidates who are bashing Blackwater, while Hillary remains silent. It also seperates Hillary from her base of voters.
What the MSM will probably say after discovering this:
Nothing to see here, move along
More like... Hunh?
Anyway, here is her lard*ss crooked chief campaign advisor, the troll Mark Penn. You can be sure we know only the tip of the iceberg about this dirtbag:
Disgusting...thoroughly disgusting; but, can you expect anything else that than from her Wenchness, the bottom feeder? So sad that most of America will never know the truth and march in step with evil, completely mistaken as to reality. Wasn’t there something in Revelations about this very subject? hmmm.....
that than = then that....sheesh, it’s early.
wait...thAn that...I need more sleep.
Thanks for the pic of Mark Penn, he does look like the typical dirtbag pal that surrounds the Clintons.
You might need more sleep if you are having a conversation with yourself :-).
They probably also represent, or have at one time represented the NRA, Senator Craig, Mother Theresa, Heinz Ketchup, The City of of Ottumwa, Iowa, and the Rotto Rounter Company.
There’s “a rat” in separate.
Now, learn more about Howard Krongard, his brother...and about the CV’s of the State Department investigators working this case...
...and see what they have in common.
Then, you might be on to something resembling the truth. ;O)
Labor leaders objected to his firms work against union organizing, and Burson-Marstellers work for clients that include the tobacco industry and a leading, troubled subprime mortgage lender, Countrywide Financial, have also drawn fire.
Let’s end outsourcing our government to companies like Blackwater and hold the contractor accountable, Hillary said on Sept. 30 in Oakland, Calif., according to the San Jose Mercury News.
Sen. Clinton believes Blackwater must be held accountable for its actions and has laid out a detailed proposal to sharply reduce the number of contractors employed by the federal government by 500,000, he said. She has repeatedly stated her concern that such contractors are not as accountable as federal employees.

Burson-Marsteller was brought aboard by the Washington law firms representing Blackwater - McDermott Will & Emery and Crowell & Moring.
One of the executives on the Blackwater account is Robert Tappan, a former State Department official. Tappan is a managing director of BKSH & Associates Worldwide, a Burson-Marsteller subsidiary.
At State, Tappan was deputy assistant secretary for public affairs. While at State, he spent six months in Baghdad as director of strategic communications for the Coalition Provisional Authority, the temporary governing body that disbanded in June 2004.
On Thursday, Paul Cordasco, a spokesman for Burson-Marsteller, said the company does not discuss its clients. In a statement sent by e-mail Friday, Cordasco said BKSH helped Prince prepare for the congressional hearing.
According to the Center for Media and Democracy, Burson-Marsteller clients have included cigarette maker Philip Morris, nuclear power plant owner Entergy, and Allergan, the pharmaceutical company that makes wrinkle-eraser Botox.
