This is astonishing on several fronts, not the least of which is that the entire premise of refusing to treat or see a patient because of the patient's supposed illness suggests that you know the root cause of a given illness or condition before you've even seen the patient!
In addition, numerous illnesses and diseases are interconnected in such a way that there may be multiple causes, or an effect that's not immediately traceable to a given cause.
For these 'medical students' to even suggest that making such a ludicrous judgment is possible indicates that they learned absolutely nothing in their physiology classes.

The GMC said it had received requests for guidance over whether students could omit parts of the medical curriculum and yet still be allowed to graduate. Professor Peter Rubin, chairman of the GMCs education committee, said: Examples have included a refusal to see patients who are affected by diseases caused by alcohol or sexual activity, or a refusal to examine patients of a particular gender. How long until Muslim doctors are allowed to refuse to examine or treat patients who are non-Muslim or of a different Islamic group, i.e., infidel or apostate?

Say some medical student is carried into the ER, having been butted senseless by a goat for unwelcome advances ...

Some doctors won't treat smokers and they aren't even muslims or students.
Not saying that these muslims are right, only that moonbatism knows no ethnic, religious or social boundaries.

These are proto-jihadi. A reasonable solution would be to put them against a wall and shoot them now, rather than waiting for them to blow a bunch of people up.

Wonder if one of these radical muslim docs would treat a jew, and if so how would he treat one?
To: Stoat
The only reason they are 'protesting' is because they know mighty America has been so neutered that she will bend over to their stupid 'sensibilities' and acquiesce.
It's not their beliefs or religion... it's their knowing that we will bend, and they're taking full advantage of our multiculti diversity limp=dick mentality.
Where are the MEN of this once great nation?

Umm this is Britain but point taken. They do seem to be ignoring this so far and flunking them for not doing as instructed.

"Some trainee doctors say learning to treat the diseases conflicts with their faith, which states that Muslims should not drink alcohol and rejects sexual promiscuity." How do these pious Muslims explain the gang rapes of infidel women in host countries?
Is rape not considered to be sexual promiscuity?
Perhaps diseased women should be provided as bait for Muslim men - whose disease would be untreatable in Islam - since it is against Islam to contract sexually transmitted diseases.
Are infidel women still considered as "uncovered meat" as once described by a "pious" Muslim cleric?
Pious Muslims should be banned from the practice of medicine in the entire Western World....
No non-Muslim patient should be placed at risk with a Muslim doctor who can choose which diseases he will treat..

Not saying that these muslims are right, only that moonbatism knows no ethnic, religious or social boundaries. Indeed. Some doctors won't perform abortions, a refusal universally deplored here at FR.

My thoughts exactly-—basically all Muslims, regardless of level of “education” are Trojan Horse Jihadists. THey MUST be deported NOW. Stop pussyfooting around with these people, AND their leftist enablers, who are the new “useful idiots” of Islam, which has collectively taken the place of the worldwide Communist movement, and influence. Couldn’t be clearer.
To: Stoat
It is obligatory for Muslim doctors and students to learn about everything. The prophet said, Learn about witchcraft, but dont practise it.

How long until Muslim doctors are allowed to refuse to examine or treat patients who are non-Muslim or of a different Islamic group, i.e., infidel or apostate? Most likely they will pretend to treat patients and instead let them suffer and die.

Indeed. Some doctors won't perform abortions, a refusal universally deplored here at FR. That's different abortion is murder not healing, even dying alkies or smokers deserve healing or solace, babies don't deserve death.

This is just another example of how Islam has killed scientific thought in the Middle East. Notice that these bums had to come to ENGLAND to study medicine. Let them have their religion which rots the mind, kills creativity, destroys music and art, and leaves their souls bereft of anything beautiful, worthwhile, or uplifting.
I thank GOD everyday for the crusades, without which all of the academic curiosity of the world would've been halted in its infancy, and we'd all be dead of minor infections and diseases before the age of 30. As for these guys, screw 'em all.

How long until Muslim doctors are allowed to refuse to examine or treat patients who are non-Muslim or of a different Islamic group, i.e., infidel or apostate? From the article:
This weekend, however, it emerged that Sainsburys is also allowing its Muslim pharmacists to refuse to sell the morning-after pill to customers. At a Sainsburys store in Nottingham, a pharmacist named Ahmed declined to provide the pill to a female reporter posing as a customer. A colleague explained to her that Ahmed did not sell the pill for ethical reasons. Boots also permits pharmacists to refuse to sell the pill on ethical grounds.
Since muslim pharmacists have already been given special privileges and accommodation while the definition of 'ethics' is continually expanded, I see no reason to suspect that muslim 'doctors' will be granted similar special guidelines, which only they can use.
