There isn’t anything in this bill that would have stopped veterans from losing their Rights. A doctor’s, Veterans Administration or psychologist’s diagnosis isn’t a adjudication or commitment under the law. Since 1968, some veterans lost their Rights to own a gun and there hasn’t been a procedure for that Right to be restored. This bill would have corrected that oversight.

So the GOA stops a law that would have actually restored some people’s rights if they would have had this law in place. They get to finally claim they did something for the first time and the NRA isn’t accused of giving weapons to lunatics like the media would have claimed.

Sounds like a win/win to me.

"A doctor’s, Veterans Administration or psychologist’s diagnosis isn’t a adjudication or commitment under the law."

You have no reading comprehension. That is the chief feature of this bill; to let any quack psych take anyone's rights away with a stroke of their socialist pen. Wake up!

Freudian slip ???

Seriously and honestly though, does anyone think that whatever the damn bill says matters to the sleezes in DC ???they cant even acknowlege the plain wording of the 2A.

the years of lawyering needed to battle any gun laws are a waste of time & money.

compromise is infringement...chuckie is winning by a thousand cuts...
