I wish a few of the GOP candidates would let fly with Mathews and clean his clock. Unfortunately they all want to avoid offending the press, so they’ll just simper and whimper.

Could the GOP candidates even do it? They are not as well informed as we are here!

There is no candidate who has the balls to stand up to him. I remember the first embarrassing debate with Mathews and they should have walked off the stage with his stupid questions. If one really did (not almost but really) tell him his question is asinine, I would look at the candidate differently from now on. But they won’t.
