I remember something about an Orleans Levee Board that was responsible for maintenance of the levees. Didn't they spend a lot of taxpayers' money doing nothing? Weren't they abolished after Katrina for their misconduct? Maybe they had a part, along with the "Federal Government," in the levee failure.
