She’s certainly been bright enough to make a mint.
However, she’s evidently abject clueless about the eternal trouble she’s headed for.
Intelligence doesn’t play a factor in her success. I know quite a few successful actors who are dumber than dirt.
Her success is owed to her ability to appeal to the most basal of human emotion, and her willingness (then) to be used as a pawn, even though she still is (used), it’s not for the same reasons. She was a drug addicted, alcoholic stand up (when she could) comic, whoring to make ends meet, before she had any real success.
