Generally, I like the Republicans’ chances next year. There are a ton of Dems in Republican-leaning districts. If the Republicans can successfully tie this Congress to those Dems, they should be able to retake the House. It’s the Senate I’m worried about. Five retirements? Sheesh...

Only divine intervention will get rid of a Dim majority in the senate come the November 2008 elections. The Republicans are losing too many to retirement, and more Republican seats are on the ballot than Dims. We march ever closer towards civil war. God help us.
