I find it interesting how several otherwise intelligent conservatives on this board are smearing Hitchens for one of his unpopular ideas while praising him for this one.
Why bring up his attacks on what is soon to be a new figure of Catholic idolatry? Was the article about her and not about the death of an amazing young man in the service of his country?

The article was primarily about Christopher Hitchens, as most Hitchens essays are. It appears, though, that you have the same opinion of the Catholic Church as Hitchens does. Are you also an admirer of Lenin and Trotsky, as is Hitchens?
