Isn’t he sweet? To support our troops he chose the red ball.
quick hello.. LONG DAY... 35 mile bike ride w/friend John, Did get some pix of the purple aster & will post evenually.. BUT still have not downloaded & pretty tired at this point
After bike ride, short time at home to clean up, bath, wash hair & leave in half hour of returning home.
The Indian’s won.. whoopie! Wont be as easy for game 3/4 in the Bronx . As ga,e went 11 innings I missed the Hudson game/band show. Bummer. But the playoff game was much better for sure.
Sounds like a very good day, though!
We will look forward to seeing the pictures!
Sweet dreams for now, Dolly! Have a wonderful weekend!
(((hugs)))
:) Thanks.
St.Louie made these graphics a long time ago. I love them.

READ: Nehemiah 4:1-14
Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome. Nehemiah 4:14
While the outcome of the Second World War was still uncertain, Franklin Roosevelt died and Harry Truman was sworn in as the next president of the United States. The following day, President Truman told reporters, "When they told me yesterday what had happened, I felt like the moon, the stars, and all the planets had fallen on me." Certainly Truman faced crushing responsibilities.
Nehemiah was a great leader who also faced overwhelming burdens. Accompanied by Jewish exiles who had returned from Babylon, Nehemiah was given the task of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Amid terrible opposition, he refused to be intimidated by the jeers and threats of the enemy. Instead, the man of God organized a dual strategy of construction and military defensebathing their efforts in prayer: "We made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night" (Neh. 4:9). Nehemiah addressed the ongoing threats the workers faced by getting their focus back on God: "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome" (v.14).
Are you facing crushing responsibilities today? Praying for Gods help and putting together a practical plan can give you strength to complete the task.
Looking forward to the pictures!
..I watched the heart pounding end of your Indians... Yankee game..Good luck~.Go Cleveland! That thread I pinged you to for the first game is now the ongoing thread.
I am slowly catching up after the 2 month painful back siege..Washed 3 sliding doors yesterday and vaccuumed..The front yard is done..The backyard needs work. One day at a time.
John Bright pushes his daughter, Trinity Bright, during trick-or-treating. Trinity was in costume as a baby holding a big bottle.
Next shots on the path I did the 35 miles. The OhioErie Canal is to the left & to the right (out of sight) the Cuyahoga River. This is a pix of a very old sycamore tree.
Oh, Dolly, these are just wonderful! I love your pictures!
That trail and all the scenery looks so soothing and beautiful, Dolly. I had no idea that asters grow wild! I hope Purple enjoys them and you don’t mind sharing with all of us...:)
We also have magnificent sycamore trees that are native to SoCal here. I always enjoy finding a huge, spreading sycamore. They are shedding leaves now. Thankfully, I’m not the only tree-hugger around here, either... Shhhhh.....
Lord, the newness of the day
Calls me to an untried way;
Let me gladly take the road,
Give me strength to bear my load.
This quote is meaningful to me today.
(((Hugs)))Thank you, Dita..I am sore..in the bed now, with heating pad..Day of rest..I had done the front yard earlier last weekend ..So far no kneebending pain today so I am grateful!
I was going to restrict myself to correcting streaks from the sliding door washing yesterday..so far none revealed..The vacuum cleaner is sitting in the middle of my bedroom but I am doing no vacuuming today! Small steps.
Have a great weekend.
I tell them conservatives can love & want to protect nature & conservative bike, hike, kayak etc.
geesh!
Here is the bike I was out on Friday. A Klein mountain bike
I think conservative and conservation and nature lover all go together great!! I know others. I didn’t know Teddy Roosevelt (wink), but he was one!! Cool shades too, Dolly...oh my. We are free to be individuals, to be fully who God made us to be....:) Isn’t it great?!
Well, I’m behind schedule... what else is new, must go.
Indeed!
