Why were they flying the Mexican flag on an American College campus??
Pres. Calderon recently stated that where ever there is a Mexican, there too is Mexico. Mexicans have a sense that the southwest was stolen from them (although they fail to consult the Native Americans on that point), and that it rightfully belongs to them.
They do not seem to ask why, with all the material wealth and a reputation for hard work, their country remains mired in the past and poor. Nor do they seem to appreciate that there is a reason north of the border is more prosperous and peaceful. It didn’t just happen. The difference is a result of laws, politics, ideologies, and much more.
Mexico needs to take a good look at itself.
