Ambulance-chasers are converging on the site, even as we speak, as his "victim" clients were not afforded "due process rights".

There's not a lawyer in this state stupid enough to waste his time on a civil suit agains this. Armed robbery is a felony and deadly force is authorized in self-defense against any felony in Texas.

The guard ought to send a bill for 10 cents to the two familes just to add insult to injury.

Texas penal code. See the last sentence: “robbery or aggravated robbery.” Simple demand for money under the threat of any bodily force (simple robbery) is sufficient justification in Texas for the use of deadly force in response. Aggravated (armed robbery or any robbery resulting in bodily harm) is not a prerequisite. Texans did this right.

§ 9.32. DEADLY FORCE IN DEFENSE OF PERSON. (a) A person
is justified in using deadly force against another:
(1) if he would be justified in using force against the
other under Section 9.31;
(2) if a reasonable person in the actor’s situation
would not have retreated; and
(3) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the
deadly force is immediately necessary:
(A) to protect himself against the other’s use or
attempted use of unlawful deadly force; or
(B) to prevent the other’s imminent commission of
aggravated kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, aggravated sexual
assault, robbery, or aggravated robbery.

Scratch two thugs w/ a third looking at a stretch in the state pen.

Will the thugs have a shrine w/ teddy bears and candles and testimonials about how they were turning their lives around? /s

Give that SG a day off and an environmental award for taking out the trash.

On his way home, perhaps he can stop by the deceased parents places and slap them around for raising human debris, preying on the law abiding.

The "Readers Digest" version.

§ 9.32. DEADLY FORCE IN DEFENSE OF PERSON. A person is justified in using deadly force against another...to prevent the other’s imminent commission of...robbery, or aggravated robbery.

Katrina?

Red Bird didn't need Katrina. It's been 20 years since a person could go to that area unarmed in daylight. Katrina just helped bring diversity to other parts of town.

The gene pool is immediately improved by a tiny iota of subtraction of subhuman scum.

Kudoes to the guard for good shooting; hopefully he can get a three-fer next time.

TM, the original article was a little short on facts. All it said was they approached the car and told him to get out. It didn’t mention a gun and didn’t specifically mention anything about demanding money.

I’m thinking if I’m that guy I say “Uhh, no”, roll up the window and drive away. However, the video shows a gun laying on the ground so I assume it was the perps and they pointed it at him.

Fair enough justification to protect oneself with lethal force.

“Simple demand for money under the threat of any bodily force...”

See 137. The original article, while using the word “robbery” didn’t specifically mention anything about a demand for money, a threat of bodily force, or a gun. That was my question.
