Gay bars will remain. It isn’t about acceptance. They want to hook up with likeminded people, not drink with someone all night and no prospect of sex. Internet dating has threatened the bar as the "meet market" for all kinds of folks. I see many have converted into a 'sports bar' type of format in order to adapt to the loss.
