FC:I do believe in the Bible, but I don’t see any dates in Genesis. I also believe God is rational, so facts are what they are. I believe you are an atheist though, are you not?
LG:Yes I am an atheist, primarily because I try not to believe in fairy tales. So I guess we need to narrow your beliefs down. Do you believe the Bible is the literal word of God or is it shall we say “parables”? Maybe if you told me your religion it would speed this process up.
Atheism is its own religion (the worship of the null set God). It has it’s own illogic and fairy tales. I am constrained for time, but can go into that later, but it’s pretty easy to show denying the existence of higher orders of thought is illogical.
As far as whether the Bible is the literal word of God or a parable, I take the odd view that the two are not mutually exclusive. What is the point of the Bible if not to teach morality within the context of the mindset and times of the humans who read it? A better question is whether the Bible serves its purpose, and to that I answer yes.

Well, typical of Joseph Smith’s narcissist mix of sorcery, fraud, charlatanism and grandiose political visions, the Kingdom was both physical and metaphysical. Just like a Jim Jones, a David Koresh, a Reverend Moon or an L Ron Hubbard I suspect Smith believed his own crapola. Therefore it’s likely he believed he was being set up to be King of an earthly/metaphysical Kingdom that would arise as the fulfillment of Jesus’ return to Earth.

Two straw-men there, but lets tackle the last one. Who says that atheists deny higher orders of thought. That certainly isn't true.

So because Mormons believe that they can become "One With God" (that is the summation of the Temple ceremony by the way) that makes them an evil and despicable cult. Does that sum up your beliefs about Mormons?
While you on the other hand believe that you can be a choir boy for all eternity and that makes you pure and clean. Does that about sum up your personal beliefs?
I will agree with you, Mormon beliefs are illogical, but so are yours. Didn't Christ say something about a beam in an eye?
