I don’t have any problem with that quote. Again, nowhere does it say the Lord would not call a prophet or that one is unecessary, or that the Holy Spirit “trumps” a prophet. The Holy Spirit affirms the Prophet.

Jesus Christ is our final prophet, priest, and king.

Do you want to surplant him with a fallible old man? I certainly don’t.

The writer to the book of Hebrews is writing to Jewish believers and He is pointing out to them that they do not need to succumb to the temptation to go back to the Mosaic economy. They do not need to surrender to that temptation to go back to the old Judaistic religion. But now we have Christ, and He is the full and final word from God. There’s no need to go back to anything else.
