Not much new in this story, just most of the previous tidbits assembled in one place.
Disturbed one guy’s tea and crumpets, if his excitability is any indication.
Still no speculation about the drop tanks Turkey found so instantaneausly.
If IAF had to work rugged, remote terrain on the way in, and Turkey had eyes on them, that would explain the Turks grabbing them the same day.
But if Turkey tracked them, they aren’t talking either. In fact, you have to ask why Turkey didn’t fire on them.
Then later on, IDF supposedly got in there to collect samples and BDA. If true, they didn’t walk, in or out. The “Welcome” and “Come back Soon” mats weren’t out either. Newswise, that’s been a completely black operation.
The upper limit on the contents of the NK cement ship has been “everything the Koreans didn’t want anymore” since news of the ship was first reported.
Similarly, the lower limit had to be above whatever Syria has had for years, which includes all of NBC except the N.
Could have been rusty parts and old drawings, spent core rods, assembled test devices, or just some old measurement instruments.
So what if our slightly hysterical British chap isn’t over-reacting?
Well, to me, “WW-III” implies world power involvement. Can’t have a big one without one of the big three. I guess US/UK vs Iran would cover world power, at the lesser world war end of the spectrum. More small fish would help qualify.
But US versus Syria?
That would have to be WW-IV, because OIF was WW-III.
Other end of the scale, did Russia or China make a move, or at least rattle a saber? What would the Brits know about that?
And how’s our Brit friend know what we were up to anyway?
Did we call ahead for refueling reservations?
UK spies on Diego reporting our movements?
Crosstalk at Centcom Forward in Qatar?
Savoy Pub?
Green Zone O-Club?
If there were US aircraft at the Iraq Syria border, did they include Jstars? UAVs?
Just how deep were we in this, anyway, and why?
For that matter, if we were deep in this, it would be as part of a longer term campaign to provoke a response. If that’s the background, then either Syria or Iran had to act aggressively, scramble some fighters, or something, to brink us to the brink of “WW-III”.
Otherwise, it’s normal background radiation, not a spike in tensions.
If that’s not enough questions, here’s one more.
Who’s more likely to spot a shipment of suspicious cement leaving North Korea, Israel’s lone satellite, or NSA’s globular cluster?
There’s a lot more here than meets the eye.
North Korea couldn’t send more than they had.
One Brit, and Netayahu’s aide claim WW-III type stunnage.
Maybe NK really is getting out of the nuke business.
Maybe they choose not to...dispose of the remains...locally. The US has a lot of experience with nuclear waste. If we let it go to Syria without stopping it, then we knew it wasn’t going to last loong there, which means we wanted NK to have the cash for it. Any bets on a refund?
The good news remains that the Axis of Evil refused the gambit. They aren’t ready yet. If they were ready, they’d have done everything they threatened to do if we destroy a nuke facility, which we did, but they haven’t. Every day they’re not ready, the day they’ll never be ready comes one day closer.

Bingo, they blinked. Although situation could go critical , Feel a tad better now.
BiBi said “stun the world”,,,still waitin’...;0)
1. Several people mention the lack of radioactivity detected from the strike. Could the target have been located in an underground bunker (5 or more stories below ground)? Could it have been hit by a mini-nuke penetrator? Would fall out escape from such an attack?
2. I would have to guess that a nuclear bomb could be destroyed by an explosion with out detonating the bomb. I thought that the timing and forces needed for a fusion reaction were critical (I doubt they have fission)
3. Wasn’t there a few stories about (a?) B-52(s?) armed with nukes in the air around the same time as this strike took place.
4. Weren’t the Russians buzzing England and the Vikings with Bears around this time? (To the ww3 angle)
5. To the post about this being only an exchange between two countries...Does any one really think that if the “jews” nuke a Muslim country, that every moderate to fundamental Muslim with a rock, rifle, or grenade woun’t head to the nearest market place.
Of course we were involved in this. The mission training was done in the Arizona desert, we had assets in the region, and B52s in the air “training” at the same time.
Plus we gave them IFF codes.
