Can’t wait until they commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the building of the Berlin Wall.

What a stupid thing to get upset about. Google recognizes a major technological advance. So what?

Exactly - it was the first object over put into orbit, rivaling Columbus’ arrival at the new world in significance. It’s proper that this event should be celebrated.

Because they trash America. You’re the stupid one if you don’t know Google is run by lefties.
To: gracesdad
Over time the type of “recognition” Google bestows certainly has a tone to it, and that is what the author of this post was very likely responding to.
Google “recognition” and “non-recognition” threads are a recurrent theme here.

The liberals actually think they can advance their communistic agenda further if they can eliminate our US forces! A country without a military force can easily be taken over by the socialists....look at what Putin is going to Russia today. THAT’S THEIR AIM!

Just as many others do, Season’s Greetingsa or Happy Holidays covers many things going on around that time of the year, including holidays celebrated by Jews and atheists. I don’t send my Jewish frineds Merry Christmas cards. There’s something wrong with that?

See the posts above and below yours for a good example.

“Google recognition and non-recognition threads are a recurrent theme here.”
I know they are. And they’re almost always a firestorm over nothing at all.
If I hadn’t read this thread (actually the thread before it, this is a repeat) I wouldn’t have even know that was Sputnik. All I would have seen was a satellite. So it’s actually LGF and FR that’s helping spread whatever message Google was trying to get through.
