But..but...He has done so much for families in this country. His opinions therefore must be important.

There you go again, believing everything you see in print, from the old media.
Here comes the attacks from all the born-agains. I would think, in a Christian vien, you would say something along the lines of praying for me for better understanding. So much for your Christian virture.
Ross Perot?
“A more polite answer might have been phrased as, “I’m sure if Dr.Dobson and I were to have a personal conversation, we would agree on far more than we disagree.”
Frankly, I’m sick to death of prissy, politically correct politeness. I want a leader who will speak in unambiguous, blunt language.
Dobson apparently wants Fred to come to him on bended knee like his man Newt did. Appropriately, Fred will have none of it.
In his statement of support for Rush yesterday, Fred called the Left what they are....LOONS. That’s old-fashioned, unambiguous, in-your-face straight talk and what’s been missing from the White House for the last 6 years.
YOu will not get flamed by me. I agree with you 100 percent.
Amen.
I understand that completely. I also understand that Dobson has been around long enough to know that making additional statements about Thompson would make people think "hmmm...maybe that's what he meant after all."
Dobson. Dobson? Dobson !
Oh yes; reminds me of Jesse Jackson in white-face.
Exactly right. I firmly believe its the Dobsons and Robertsons who continue to reinforce the negative stereotypes of Christians. They do not speak for me, nor do I answer to them.
Sincere question: do you have a link to Dobson saying Thompson is not a Christian? Or is that an MSM-created myth meant to divide?
If you can show me (and please believe that I’m not baiting nor being sarcastic), I’ll give you an honest answer to your premise.
Who me?.....no....
I can almost hear an evil, breathy shrill snicker after each posted comment on this thread.
I pray we are smarter than this.

Fred is the only one of the top tier candidates to show a spine. He refuses to pander to the self proclaimed Evagelical “kingmaker” and then there’s this....

Eh? Are you sure you were replying to my post?
Thanks
Dr. Dobson's representative apologized for a comment NOT spoken by him about Thompson's faith and now Hannity, continues with other misappropriated comments on Dobson.
Great war plan (Carville?) - plant a false comment from one conservative about another, then ask for the response.
Nice trick spun up by the left.
I suppose it sounded clever when you were writing that.
If Fred is a Christian, where does he attend church?
“Im inclined to vote for Fred, but there is evidence that he doesnt place faith in God and fellowship with believers very high on his priority list.”
I’ve quoted the part where you inferred that. If you said that he doesn’t place faith in God and fellowship in believers high on his priority list, then that means that YOU place that high on your priority list for a candidate.
Moving right along, let me tell you a story. My father in law has been a Southern Baptist Minister for 35 years. I’ve seen him in action. He loves preaching and he loves doing the work of God. He enjoys being in church. He’s been kicked out of 6 churches. All for the same reason: he and his wife get burnt out on having to do everything for the church that when they ask for some of the congregation to help out, the congregation turns against them within a year. He and his wife now worship at home. Tell me, are they Christian? Christ is in the heart.
Moving right along, you didn’t answer my last question. Would you vote for a Jew or a Buddhist or a Hindu for President? (I left out Muslim for obvious reasons)
Yes, Jesus does say that. He also said, concerning the fig tree that did not bear fruit, that you will be able to judge people by their actions. The two statements seem to contradict each other but I look at it this way. Jesus is not saying we can never judge another. He is saying be careful how you judge people because you will be judged the same way. If we follow the strict interpretation of never judging anyone, how in the hell can you raise your child? How can you tell your child to not do something or to stay away from someone? Hell, the strict interpretation is nothing but the belief of multiculturism today.
