NYT story.
EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING being reported is focused on the montage talking point “Frontrunner Rudy” or “Guiliani WILL remain leader”
ALL the NYC based newsrooms are 100% Guiliani.

Ask and you shall receive. Here is a thread with numerous freepers commenting after seeing Fred. (There are probably more such threads but I don't have time to search just now. Check out the fredthompson link if you like)

The pencil-neck dumbwaiters at the NYT like to dish out propaganda and lies, but this one is sophmoric, obvious and ineffective.
Grade: D -

His heart isn't in it. He should be having fun with this.....Just what my other half says. He also shudders when he sees FT with his kids. Since we are about FT's age, hubby says no young wife is worth going through all that again in old age.

I was at the meeting in Marshalltown last Monday. I have to disagree with the NYT. We believe that selecting a president is serious business and we are quiet because we are actually listening to what he has to say, looking him over, assessing whether he is the best candidate, etc. I was very impressed with him.

Watch out. If you don’t praise Thompson loudly enough, you might get villified as much as Dobson.
I say that as someone who is inclined to vote for Fred in the primaries.

Too many people are ready to give up on Fred based on a few stories printed by the liberal media. Someone, usually a Rudy, Mitt, Huckabee, or Hunter supporter finds a news article that fits their purpose and they are too eager to post it to FR. Thats fine, everyone here is entitled to get behind their favorite candidate and sometimes that means shining a light on the competition - but for the readers of these post please don’t be so fast to pass judgment on Fred based on these. Watch him in a debate or two before you decide if he has what it takes or not. Those debates are coming up soon enough.

Thank you! Everyone needs to go to that post.

I knew it! I just knew he was bringing out a distinctively unique reaction from his audience. He is getting people to think on a whole new level.

Fred needs to take his Geritol. You mean the "Geritol" that is claimed to be a miracle cure for "tired blood?" LOL
(IMO, it is good to be explicit least we leave younger Freepers out)

I agree, we have alot of time and debates to make a decision.
With FT, I think most here are NOT going by just newspapers articles, but by his Senate record. And his tone, personality and attitude is the same, naturally.
He is laid back, gentlemanly, quiet, calm, and serious, imo. (his spunk did show up last nite in his comment about Dobson, even tho I like Dobson, FT does slam the Dims too, unlike some other Republicans who only take on their own)
It’s just a matter of timing, do we want that personality and attitude at this juncture?
Can’t wait for the debates!

well if the New York Times has "lonely picture" and this story....well then they must be cr@pping their pants.
OK, I'll vote for Fred now.
I just wanted to see which candidate the Times hates the most.
