Angry Vet Cuts Down Illegally Displayed Mexican Flag
KRNV ^ | 10/03/07

-Snip -

It began when a store in Reno hung a Mexican flag above an American flag.

That's illegal.

While a photographer from NBC affiliate KRNV was outside the business an angry man claiming to be a veteran walked up to the flagpole and cut down both flags with a large knife.

Isn’t flying a mexican flag above our own an act of war, can’t we just shoot the perp?

It needs to be posted frequently anyway. It’s *good* news!

I have my Marine KBAR for just such occasions. My active duty Recon son does also.

Mr. C4E gave me a nice little folding blade knife to carry. Slim, light weight, sharp, I also carry a swiss army knife in the Jeep. A girl can't have too much personal protection, if you know what I mean. :)

Good for him... Should have strung the person responsible up on the same pole

I see. So because this private citizen was offended it is now acceptable to

A) take the law into your own hands and
B) destroy the private property of others which doesn't belong to you. I assume the 'brave' gentleman in question paid for the property (i.e. flags) before destroying the one he didn't like

That about the crux of your argument? Oh and he should be able to hang the other person committing yet another, and much worse, crime. Gotcha

Boy I'm going to have fun at work tomorrow. I don't like this lady's plant that sits on her desk. It doesn't actually hurt me, I just don't like it. I'll toss that in the trash first. Then I may go on a keying spree in the parking lot on cars of people I don't like. Hey they offend me by their existence at work and since private property means so little to 'conservatives' it's alright for me to do it!!

Wow what a retort. So the question is to you. Do you or do you not respect private property? Or can we tell your neighbor they can set up a business for their profit on your front lawn tomorrow? The flags, however improperly displayed, belonged to the individual who owned the store.

The 'brave' man in question committed theft and destruction of private property because he was offended. By your stance, if someone doesn't like you they have the right to come by your house and throw rocks through the windows and you can't do a thing about it.

The issue of the flags is completely irrelevant to the point
