So, the bishop should just shut up while the example of political leaders like Giuliani contributes to the moral decay of our country??Short answer - yes, the bishop should shut up. The BISHOP has violated Rudy's religious privacy rights with his statement.
Mr. Raymond Burke can say anything that he likes BUT Bishop Burke needs to be reminded about religious privacy rights of individuals.

Where exactly is this religious privacy right that prohibits the Bishop from speaking publicly on a public figure laid out? I’d like to see how they worded that sucker.

It is only private if it is private. He has made his views well known. It is hard to hold private your views when in public office. The people have a right to know what you think on different subjects.
Actually, it is God & Jesus’ view/command. He is just saying that he has belief in his God and Savior.
Would you tell God & Jesus to shut up?
If your child was in danger of dying b/c they were doing something wrong, would you just say they have the right and I shouldn’t say anything.
It is just like the Bishop is worried about his eternal life. Being a church leader-actually all Christian have been called to tell people about their eternal life. Church leaders just have more accountability. They are more responsible b/c they are preaching to many souls. They are held accountable to what they say or don’t say to their flock. More should be standing up to the Biblical teachings.
That said—I support the Bishop and wish all church leaders would stand so tall.
No I am not Catholic, but I am Christian.
