Compromise can save a few lives and leave a few more dollars in my wallet. Principle does not if that principle results in your guy losing and the Dem winning.
I still have an open mind on the "Rudy can't win" question.
But you must be aware that the most passionately committed pro-death Senators are all from states with large Catholic populations, and at election time they rely on their "Catholic identity" to get out the vote - so I'm not sure that Rudy won't do the same.
That is to say, the "Catholic antiabortion vote" hasn't hurt a single Catholic pro-death politician yet.

Two reasons. It funds the organizations that so need a frustrated social right and these people truly not only want a place at the table, they want to own the table.
