Is it too late to change to Chinese hardware? Maybe it was Chinese built hardware. They build many Russian/Soviet designs. Sort of like they build many US designed toys. Probably used lead based paint on the radomes. Probably used pirated version 0.9 of the software too. Russkies just putting it back to spec and upgrading the software to the version 4.0.4 software (which is still not the latest version of course).
