Agreed, the initiative process has been successful in many states. It is normally referred to as The Defense of Marriage. I think AZ failed to pass it last time around. They should give it another go. It passed in CA and NV several years ago.

One or two tiny leftist states might legalize gay marriage. So what? One of the prices we would pay for federalism. I'll tell you one thing, no large state would do it, including California, which might be leftist in everything else but with its large block of Spanish Christians isn't about to sanctify fudge-unions.
