If you’re wearing the seatbelt over your belly you’re going to suffer some serious internal injuries even without a piercing. Seatbelts are supposed to be worn across the hips.

That was exactly my thought: what was her seatbelt doing up over her belly button? I’ll give her the benefit of a doubt, though, and presume that it may have slipped up there during the accident - something that is quite conceivable given the shape of a thin woman who has some hips. Me, on the other hand - well, there’s little chance of the belt slipping up over my beer belly.
