While I absolutely don’t agree with subsidizing somebody who makes $200,000 a year, if you read the article you’ll see they are not violating any laws.
Come on now, US citizens break the law and soak up government benefits too. I bet most of them earning the really top incomes in Fairfax County’s government assisted housing are US citizens because US citizens are more likely to be able to get the kind of jobs that pay that well. I live in an area with an average family income probably not much more than one third the average in the county they are talking about in this article. The part of the state I live in is mostly white, and there are huge numbers of people abusing the system. My state used to rank highest in per capita percentage of people on SSI benefits. It may still be that way. Often everyone in the family is collecting a check and they’re getting every other kind of government benefit they can bilk us out of. There is so much abuse. I’ve worked as a government lawyer for many years now and I’ve dealt with an awful lot of people who in many cases are abusing the handout system and most all of them have been whites born right here in the USA to American parents. Per capita within racial demographics there will be races where their respective populations are more likely to abuse the system than others. But there are a lot more whites in this country than there are any other races and overall there are a lot more whites, American citizens no less, who abuse the system than there are people from other races or other nationalities who do it. It’s not just the aliens. I don’t know the percentages but I bet they’re only receiving a tiny portion of all of the various handouts we give. White Americans are the ones receiving the majority of the benefits and among those are plenty of folks who are just abusing the system, bilking us out of every penny they can get.
