Another hit to the ‘rust belt’. Hopefully those workers land on their feet. My guess is too many of them will be unwilling to locate to regions of the country with low unemployment.

More correctly with the Indianapolis stamping operation it looks like GM is withdrawing completely from the new Japanese/Korean auto-industry's axes of operations along I-65 and I-70.

That way there'll be no easy workforce "bleed" ~ to foreign non-unionized but better paying high skilled positions.

I'd suggest the union favors the idea too!
