Interestingly enough, the last time the national debt decreased from one year to another was the year ending December 31, 1960, which was Dwight Eisenhower's last year as President.

Shortly after that, the fiscal year was changed from 12/31 to 9/30, the bookkeeping was changed to allow the federal government to count social security surpluses as general budget surpluses, the media forgot how to add and subtract, and we have been relying on math illiterates in the media to be our watchdogs on government fiscal performance.

If there is a slippery slope to fiscal hell for this country, that is about the time the roller coaster went over the first peak.

That also means that sometime in the near future, as social security outflows exceed receipts, there will be a push to stop counting the SS over/under as part of the general budget. I have no idea how the amoral government beancounters will replace that actual excess, but I am sure they will be able to 3-card monte their way past the media.(Maybe that could be Bill Clinton's last task, to preserve his legacy)

They are still out there AB...they may not have a site named after them anymore...but their harassment of me and others continues elsewhere.

He's setting himself up to take over the UN, or to take over for it, as the de facto world leader. And George Soros is bankrolling him. It's no coincidence that the CGI takes place at the same time as the opening session of the General Assembly when so many "world leaders" show up in NY. And for the past 3 years many of them have been skipping UN events to attend CGI events instead.

If Hillary captures the White House watch for some world crisis in the third or fourth year that will call for his "leadership" of the world community to solve the situation. That will be the opening gambit for establishing their next power base, probably with a minimal (but important) overlap with Hillary's presidency. He'll get control of the UN or establish some alternative and Hillary will try to cede some sovereign powers to that entity "for the good of the whole world."

Chilling to the bone, but with the ring of horrible truth. Cedric and Bernard, I'd agree with you about BJ undermining Hillary except for this terrifyingly real scenario.

Phsstpok, I didn't realize the timing of the CGI and that the big boys blew off the UN in favor of CGI. I'm gonna be in the fetal position with the covers over my head for an indefinite period.
