The Clinton Conundrum: What’s Behind the Laugh?
The New York Times ^ | September 30, 2007 | PATRICK HEALY

Posted on 09/29/2007 7:12:28 PM PDT by AmericanMade1776

It was January 2005, and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton had just finished a solemn speech about abortion rights — urging all sides to find “common ground” on the issue and referring to abortion as “a sad, even tragic choice to many, many women.”

Stepping offstage, she took questions from reporters, and found herself being grilled about whether she was moderating her own pro-choice position. And suddenly it happened: Mrs. Clinton let loose a hearty belly laugh that lasted a few seconds. Reporters glanced at one another as if they had missed the joke.

But nothing particularly funny had occurred; it was, instead, a deployment of the Clinton Cackle.

At that moment, the laugh seemed like the equivalent of an eye-roll — she felt she was being nitpicked, so she shamed her inquisitors by chuckling at them (or their queries). But friends of hers told a different story: She has this fantastic sense of humor, you see, but it’s too sarcastic to share with the general public because not everyone likes sarcasm. (Mrs. Clinton, for example, sometimes likes to tweak people for missing an obvious point by saying to them, “Hello?”

I think you’ve got it. She’s a total phony, always has been. The demonic, fake look of bug eyed surprise, the hideous “laugh”.

Everything is practiced and repeated over and over again. She’s such a total phony as so much of the left is.<<

We FReeped her in Dallas, at a fundraiser for her Senatorial campaign a few years back, held at a residence.

She came out waving and smiling at the adoring throngs before the local news cameras. The problem? There were people there except us and secret service, and we were a block away, off camera.

She is a total liar and phony, just as you say.

Those bug-eyed smiles of recognition are not to adoring worshippers, they are calculated, scripted lies.

She’ll be our first president that you can’t spill water on,” Mr. Stewart said.

Many have characterized her style as “cold.” The cackle has several elements, some of which have been mentioned above. She wants the cackle to change the public’s image of her as lacking in the qualities that endeared Bubba to a segment of the public. She is trying to humanize herself in the public’s perception. Millions will fall for this casusistry. To think of listening to that kind of phoniness for 4 or 8 years is terrifying.

I know a person who was at National Cathedral in Washington—part of a group of Episcopalian pro-lifers who had stood up during an appearance by Hillary to protest the use of the Cathedral by a pro-abort. As Hillary came down the aisle at the end of the event, she stopped for a moment at the group of pro-lifers, looked my friend straight in the face, and spat out at him in a low voice, “It’s God’s will to kill babies.”

Hollywood Lefties are giving her acting lessons. “the Laugh” is a practiced and rehearsed defense tactic that’s been taught to her. It is not a real emotional reaction. It’s a cheap actors trick. More will becomme apparent once you realise she’s acting.

Her belly-laugh is just a genuine as bill’s lip-bite. They are both unusually insincere people.

The problem the Times and other socialists are having is this idiot is not the lunatic they want to see nominated, but she is the one they will be saddled with.

They will write these little yapping articles to express frustration.

Also, I don't totally discount the possibility that they think she is unelectable.

Hitlery’s condescending cackle is her way of dismissing uncomfortable questions she would rather not have to deal with. It is contrived, forced and totally irritating.

Makes a guy want to drive his fist through her face and out the back of her skull.

Holy Mackerel! That just gave me chills. Does your friend think she's possessed? Do you?

I’m getting the feeling that the NY Times is no longer Hillary’s friend. Are they rooting for Obama?
