I think finding out that he earmarked $13Million for the NAU/NAFTA Trans-Texas Corridor should close the book for a lot of people.

When Paul loses straw polls

"Ha! Ron Turd lost the straw poll! All his moonbat friends didn't show up!"

When Paul wins straw polls

"Bah! These straw polls don't count anyway. All his moonbat friends spammed the things anyway."

I would have expected him to get about 241%, easy.

You're killing me here, Petronski!

I think Bill Richardson is a better comparison to Paul because they both are polling 3% or less on average.

Very reasonable.

http://www.politicsnj.com/giuliani-wins-passaic-county-republican-endorsement-11749

Paleoconservative activist George Ajjan, a blogger and former congressional candidate, spoke on behalf of Paul, seeking to assure hesitant mainstream Republicans that the unorthodox candidate was in line with their ideals. “There is not one no one nominated to federal office in the United States who is more committed to the constitution than Ron Paul,” said Ajjan. “He is a true blue conservative.”

Ajjian is a pretty well known local GOP activist/advocate/talking head. Ron Paul can expect to get up to 5% of the Passaic county GOP primary vote even without a campaign, about equal to Murray Sabrin's '98 governor's general election candidacy. If Paul's organization can roost up some people, he might pull in up to about 7% of the vote.

Guiliani is the prick who started confiscating cars from the bridge and tunnel crowd to bulk up the cities finances. Guiliani is directly paid by the company trying to lease and jack up the costs for New Jerseyians to drive toll roads we already paid for. He is still "the Hero Mayor of 9/11", and fools inside the feeble NJ GOP are all the eager to attach themselves to Rudy, someone who openly considers them fools.

You fail to understand the math used in the higher ranks of the Paulinati. 73% is 241%. 2.8 billion Theatans voted, along 300 odd mortals on “meds”...

You are missing the main question. What was the “Straw” and how was it smoked.

I’d agree with your analysis, except for RuePaul not having a standard deviation :)

Bummer, Mike Gravel doesn’t have a counter.

Instead, he counts the rocks he throws.

Interesting background on Ajjan.

As for Giuliani, I still think that he will drop some. His non-support at any GOP event in NY or NJ shows he can't be as strong in those states as he wants everyone to believe.

Here is a follow up article on the results.

In front of a standing room only crowd of over 100 people

Looks like they couldn't spring for the Eagle room and instead had to cram in the Sparrow room.

So, 77 +/- people voted for Ron Paul. Hubba, hubba, hubba! What's interesting to me, though, is that the Thompson campaign never officially accepted the invitation yet talked briefly, and he walks away with 2nd place.

Still don't know who "Conservatives-With Attitude" are. Nor do I care, except I suspect they're a bunch of RP wingnuts, and some more logical people showed up as well.
