What can they charge him with? According to Rhode Island's laws, 3rd degree Sexual Assualt is defined as: A person is guilty of third degree sexual assault if he or she is over the age of eighteen (18) years and engaged in sexual penetration with another person over the age of fourteen (14) years and under the age of consent, sixteen (16) years of age.

The girl was over the age of 14, the boy under the age of 18.

He could be charge with Contributing to delinquency, but that's only if she violated a law.

According to Rhode Island's laws,

Story is bylined "(AP) WEARE, N.H." which I read as taking place in New Hampshire, not Rhode Island. These laws vary from state to state, like I said.

Just this guy's dumb luck he doesn't live somewhere like Rhode Island ;-)
