The revolt has been crushed.

The Spanish press is reporting about new demonstrations today after the initial calm. El Mundo points out a 10,000 protester demonstration. It also mentions reports about the junta head's family in Singapore and the regime intelligence's #2 man asking for asylum in Norway.

An opposition website is also speaking about new demonstrations:

El Mundo points out a 10,000 protester demonstration. There seems to be conflicting information, one side mentioning a crushed revolution, while other news source mentions another 10,000.

Our news sources have been well on top of this - and have been playing up the protests.

All indiciations are - it is being crushed. It is not as big as it was just a week ago - nowhere near in fact.

I really hope I’m wrong here, but I think all indications are it won’t last much longer.

btw thank you for the opposition link - they have been very reliable.
