It is stated that 70% of deaths attributable to cervical cancer might be avoided with Gardisil. There are approximately 3,500 deaths from cervical cancer a year. This means saving a possible 2,500,who would be saved anyway by having routine pap smears. In any case as cancer deaths go,this is a very small number of deaths per year.

Furthermore, women will still need to have pap smears so it seems that this is nothing but just one more opportunity to rake in big bucks for the pharmaceutical companies,Merck in particular. Remember, that they are pushing for the vaccine to be administered to all 11 and 12 year olds in the nation. I believe the cost to accomplish this was $168.00 a pop. Think about all the children whose health care is being supported by taxes to those other than their parents.

Additionally, and probably more frightening is the fact that it is relatively untested with regards to future damages. I can see a sterility as a possibility,or a rash of deformed babies like the Thalidomide babies as well as the possibility of other defects incurred when the child was in the womb that show up long after birth. A fairly recent example was the hormone administered to pregnant women that caused their daughters to develop early onset uterine cancer. The young women developed the cancer when they were in their teens, twenties and thirties.

If good conservatives such as Freepers are going to support this ridiculous vaccine then I would say we all might as well pack it up,it's almost over.
