This story is from USA Today, which can't be quoted, so I'll just provide a summary and a link...

In short, states cracking down on illegal aliens and enforcing the law are seeing unmistakable results....schools are seeing the children of illegals packed up into trucks and shipped off. Enforcement is making a difference.
Read the whole article. Enforcement and attrition works. Not only are illegal aliens going to sanctuary states, many are just going back to their home countries (or to Canada). So much for the "we have no choice but Amnesty" crowd.
You just gotta feel for the poor libs. All those votes simply gone.
Meaning we don’t have the resources to deport them (we can track every cow in America) but we can encourage them to leave the same way they came in.
End result is a win. Legal immigration is welcome and makes our country stronger.
Texas really needs to pay to ship them north and east to sanctuary cities and states. If we had a real governor, instead of a phony RINO, and a legislature that wasn’t paid off by every lobby in Austin, we might be able to save hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars squandered in the education, medication and incarceration of hundreds of thousands of illegals.
Hmmm, my town of Aurora, CO is mentioned. I haven’t seen a dent yet.
I would also add that the downturn in the housing markets probably has a lot of illegals out of work.
This is working already here in Oklahoma (H.B. 1804) and I hope that many other states adopt this stance against illegal aliens who are breaking our laws, placing undue strain on government services, bringing in more crime, and taking advantage of America in general. They are welcome here LEGALLY only and not as lawbreaking criminals.
I believe the States and the U.S. Congress should only pass new immigration legislation that will:
1) Secure our borders
2) Enforce existing law
3) Not contain an amnesty provision of any kind
4) Will improve our visa system
5) Must prosecute and fine those businesses which knowingly employ illegal workers
6) Must give law enforcement officials the necessary resources and authority to combat illegal immigration
7) Must deport illegal aliens violating the law after being fingerprinted, photographed, charged with a felony, and placing their information in a national database
8) Send a bill for deportation/prison costs to the embassy of the illegal immigrants national origin
9) 2nd time and thereafter repeat offenses by illegal aliens should be sent to work prison camps for a maximum of 6 months
10) Must not give illegal immigrants government welfare benefits of any kind, including Social Security
11) Designates English as our national language
12) Change the 14th Amendment regarding birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants
13) Put pressure on the Mexican government and other nations to reduce illegal immigration to America
14) Encourages only legal immigration and citizenship to for those wanting to become Americans
These ENFORCED changes would strengthen America greatly.
Some states are definitely going to come up short when the votes are counted. It’s all about Democrat votes and securing the permanent majority, then anything goes.
There is a town in Virginia, Hamden or something like that, that was a sanctuary city until they threw out the mayor and council and closed the day labor site and signed up for the 287 program.
Now some friends up there say that the streets which used to be crowded with illegals are getting emptied out.
Attrition though enforcement - you can get rid of 20 million illegals if you have the will.
Most people from Mexico likely own homes in Mexicoto go back to. Not real nice ones it is sure, but they own. It is only recently that Mexico started mortgages so no one would really own, but not many Mexicans are in that trap yet.
You forgot to mention that the Texas Legislature has been taken over by the elected representatives of Atzlan, who have brought to it all of their corrupt Mexican political practices, including the patron system.
This is a ping list promoting Immigration Enforcement and Congressional Reform.

I used to pick up some grocery items at a local grocery outlet store and I always had to go there at the right time of day to avoid the crowds of illegals packing the store, some with two grocery carts-full hitting the checkout lines.
Now the place looks almost empty, no matter what time of day I go there.
They also emptied a mobile home 'park' after having turned it into "Little Mexico".
I don’t believe this next election about the Billarys are a given. They have to procure the votes, and illegals, unless I am badly informed, cannot vote because they are illegal, not citizens. Haters of Hillary will come out in droves to see she doesn’t win. Noone is talking, but it is happening everyday with her slam bang tactics, like talking Russert down in the last DNC debate. The nightmare of the Soros DNC might be just that for them. Folks don’t want another eight years of garbage. We are at war, world wide, whether the DNC wants to admit that or not, it is a fact. The other night all the DNC contenders in the top rung refused to say anything about IRAQ pull out. They don’t want to own defeat there,if they are in charge. The only defeat I am interested in is against them in the next election.
“Most people from Mexico likely own homes in Mexicoto go back to. Not real nice ones it is sure, but they own. It is only recently that Mexico started mortgages so no one would really own, but not many Mexicans are in that trap yet.”
You bring up an interesting point. Are Mexicans content to go back to Mexico now because, when they sell their American houses, they essentially become rich in Mexico? Take an average $125,000 American home. That’s a LOT of money in Mexico.
Well and truly said. But we sit here supinely and do nothing. And besides, just think how upset our major state newspaper, The Dallas Morning News, would be if illegals had to leave. /sarcasm
EFFECTIVE BORDER SECURITY
ATTRITION THROUGH ENFORCEMENT
NO AMNESTY OF ANY KIND FOR ANY ILLEGAL ALIENS.
It was Herndon, a suburb of Washington. I used to live there many years ago, back in the late ‘80s.
I sure wish North Carolina would get on the bandwagon, but they won’t. This place is slowly being overrun by illegals, and despite all that, you still have idiots, like here in Nifongville, who insist on making things easier for them. Durham is a “sanctuary city” in all but name. Heck, the DMV here in NC will accept Mexican government documents such as military ID cards for driver’s license processing!

Herndon, Virginia
Maybe the illegals should have a few more marches through our streets telling US how it’s really their country.
I mean,it worked last time.
